Amouage Line 618, Remain & Sequence ~ new fragrances :: Now Smell This

Amouage has launched a new trio of fragrances in the Essences collection: Line 618, Remain and Sequence.

An olfactory expression of the value of time. Crafted through a revolutionary process: a double-infusion with sandalwood and artisanal oakwood barrels. Each fragrance is highly concentrated, containing 30% pure perfume oils, and underwent a meticulous six-month aging process, including a double infusion with sandalwood chips and oakwood barrels, resulting in a deep, layered scent experience.

Line 618 ~ Developed by perfumer Nathalie Lorson. ” Fragrance in constant motion, the line stretches like a horizon: vast, uninterrupted, yet ever-changing. A surprising fusion of smoky frankincense and lactonic accord combined with bright fruits (pineapple, peach, plum) opens the composition, leading into a heart of pine and heliotrope, evoking landscapes of endless roads and forests. The base is a deep structure of sandalwood and leather accord carrying the scent forward into infinity.” Additional notes include black pepper, coconut milk, patchouli and guaiacwood.

Remain ~ Developed by by perfumer Pierre Negrin. “A single dot – the origin, the pure potential, the spark from which creation bursts forth. Spices ignite the composition with green aromatic freshness, while carrot and bergamot add a golden glow. At the heart of this creation, vanilla emerges as a paradox, both raw and refined, primal yet velvety. Wrapped in the floral warmth of ylang-ylang and jasmine, it takes on a luminous, almost celestial quality. The base is a foundation of sacred frankincense, deep sandalwood, and castoreum, anchoring the fragrance in the very roots of perfumery’s history.” Additional notes include mandarin, pimento berry, madonna lily, juniper, ambergris, guaiacwood, patchouli and tonka bean.

Sequence ~ Developed by perfumer Julien Rasquinet. “Time moves in cycles, and the circle embodies the sublime return of all things. Lush lychee and raspberry capture the sweetness of life, while saffron adds a red touch. In the heart, osmanthus and rose bloom anew, their richness deepened by tonka bean. The base is a profound embrace of leather, oud, and ambery woods, evoking the endless passage of time, where endings are merely beginnings.”
