Iberchem: Perfumery Inspired By Creative Concepts

Iberchem reimagines perfumery through the lens of dance, crafting scents that reflect the emotion, rhythm, and cultural heritage of iconic performances

Spanish fragrance house Iberchem continues to impress each year with its innovative concepts at Beautyworld Middle East.

This year, the company unveiled the Rhythms collection, inspired by the art of fragrance and the expressive movement of dance. As they describe it: “Just like dance, perfumery is a language in motion, a living composition that evolves over time through technique and creativity.”

In the collection, each perfume highlights the notes that best capture the strength, sensitivity, and cultural significance of each dance.

Standing out are Flamenco and Tango, two traditional dances deeply rooted in the cultures of Spain and Argentina, which inspired Iberchem’s perfumers Ana Gómez and Remon Ageeb to create their fragrances.

FLAMENCO
Eau de Parfum by Iberchem

An ode to the character and boldness of flamenco dancers who pour their souls onto the stage. Wooden notes evoke the warmth of the dance floor, while carnation and rose, floral emblems of flamenco’s heritage, create a contrast that merges fiery energy with expressive movement. Subtle leather nuances recall the touch of dance shoes striking the stage. This is a choreography of emotions, a fragrance that unfolds over time, vibrating with both intensity and delicate beauty.

Perfumer’s Remarks:

“Flamenco is all about passion and Spanish heritage, so the ingredients that best represent it for me are: woody notes, as the wooden floor on which the dancers perform on, creating the rhythmic sound from stomping their heels; leathery notes for the shoes they use; floral notes like clove, rose, as the touch in their hair, perfuming the air as they dance.”

TANGO
Eau de Parfum by Iberchem

At first surprising and innovative, this fragrance, inspired by the sensuality of tropical fruits and the vibrant character of passion fruit, embodies the intense spirit of tango. Delicate yet powerful, with a rhythm recognisable from the very first notes, it captures the dance’s elegance and emotional force, enveloping the senses in an experience as vivid and captivating as tango itself.

Perfumer’s Remarks:

“Tango, for me, is energetic. I was inspired by memories of dancing with my wife. To create my fragrance, I used top notes of bergamot, orange, and pineapple, middle notes of cedarwood and cashmere for that romantic element of the Tango, ending with notes of vanilla and musk. All of these ingredients are associated with sensuality.”
