CPL Aromas Opens A New Fine Fragrance Centre Of Excellence In Shanghai

A significant milestone for CPL Aromas, as the company strengthens its long-term commitment to China’s fast-growing fragrance market with the opening of a new office and Fine Fragrance Centre of Excellence in Shanghai.

Shanghai was chosen as the home of this new centre for its unique ability to balance heritage with modernity, a city where tradition meets cutting-edge technology and global innovation, will be the origin and inspiration of many new creations and exciting projects.

The opening ceremony started in the morning light, when Thomas Woo, Managing Director of Far East, shared his vision and expectations for the centre, highlighting its strategic importance and the collective efforts behind its creation. He also shared insights into the future of fragrance innovation and the role the Shanghai centre will play within CPL Aromas’ global network.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony officially marked the opening of the centre, led by Ruby Wang, Lam Siu-Chung, Thomas Woo, Nelly di Mercurio and Kevin Mathys, symbolically opening a new chapter for CPL Aromas in China.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of MORPHESIS, CPL Aromas’ annual Global Macrotrend collection, which was first unveiled in Barcelona in June and now continues its journey in Shanghai.

MORPHESIS is a fusion of two concepts: Metamorphosis, symbolising radical change, and Genesis, representing origin. It is a tribute to beginnings and unseen forces where transformation starts, reflecting the evolving nature of fragrance today.

While change is constant, the concept is rooted in the belief that our origins remain with us, subtly shaping each new transformation.

The collection is built around five elemental concepts: The Egg, The Seed, The Chrysalis, The Amber and The Atom.

In addition to MORPHESIS, CPL Aromas presented a new and highly anticipated technology, representing a breakthrough innovation that will soon officially launch. This technology promises to redefine the perfumery experience and marks a significant “before and after” moment for the industry.
