 SHOPPE OBJECT New York Winter 2026 Starrett-Lehigh Building         

From February 1st to 3rd, the premier home and gift trade show SHOPPE OBJECT returned to New York, occupying the light-filled 3rd and 4th floors of the historic Starrett-Lehigh Building. Located in West Chelsea, this 2.3 million-square-foot industrial-modernist landmark was designed by Yasuo Matsui and completed in 1931. Originally a freight terminal featuring massive elevators for trains and trucks, the 19-story structure gained international acclaim in MoMA’s 1932 “International Style” exhibition and remains celebrated for its iconic ribbon windows.

Spending five hours exploring SHOPPE OBJECT New York Winter 2026 was truly not enough time to navigate the two floors and converse with the many brands of interest I found. The show was packed with over 800 curated brands, yet it maintained the cool, approachable vibe I appreciate. The energy this season was incredible. 20% of exhibitors were new brands, and nearly half of the brands were from abroad, spanning 40 countries. It’s more than just a trade show; it’s a gathering for those who truly value the inspired and the well-made. From its roots in NYC to its new international events in Paris, Shoppe Object is the premier destination for taste-making merchants and editors.

Maison Duquesne manages a portfolio of lifestyle brands, including Chris Collins, D’ORSAY, and Nez Éditions, amongst others. From niche fragrance brands to luxury perfume houses to home scents, providing everything to scale bespoke consulting, domestic manufacturing, in-house logistics, e-commerce management, and brand representation. Two brands were presented: Hellenist Paris and Fer à Cheval. Hellenist, founded by Jean-David Jacoby, is a scented odyssey that bridges the ages. Rooted in Greek mythology, the fragrances tap into a collective poetic unconscious filled with the legends and sensations of childhood. By blending fine art with high perfumery, Hellenist resurrects forgotten heroes, inviting you into a world where time stands still. The latest release, Les Dieux aux Bains (the bath of the gods), impressed. Established in 1856, Fer à Cheval is a historic Marseille-based soap manufacturer and a certified Living Heritage Company. They produce authentic Savon de Marseille using an original 1688 recipe made with 100% natural, biodegradable ingredients. Free from dyes and perfumes, their soap is hypoallergenic and environmentally friendly.

Launched in 2011 by Chrissy Fichtl, the Brooklyn-based brand APOTHEKE has evolved into a premier luxury fragrance house. Its signature candles feature a premium blend of soy and mineral waxes, while its collection of soaps and lotions utilizes natural, plant-based ingredients. Beyond fragrance, the brand maintains a strong philanthropic mission, donating thousands of pounds of soap to the Bowery Mission and supporting organizations like Autism Tomorrow and the Red Hook Art Project.

VAN DANG Fragrances at SHOPPE OBJECT New York Winter 2026

Established in 2021 by Kim-Van Dang and Anthony Roberts, Van Dang Fragrances is a US-based luxury fragrance house built on the pillars of mindfulness and transparency. Each scent is meticulously crafted using natural, traceable, and pesticide-free oils sourced through fair-trade practices, ensuring a purity that is immediately palpable.  The brand’s mission is centered on the mantra of “being in the now,” offering olfactory rituals that encourage consumers to pause and reconnect with their surroundings. This vision is deeply personal for Kim-Van Dang; her expertise stems from a childhood in Saigon—where she was first introduced to French perfume icons—and a distinguished career as the Beauty Director for In Style and WWD. By combining her journalistic insights with formal training under Master Perfumer Ron Winnegrad at IFF in New York, Dang has created a collection that bridges the gap between traditional French elegance and modern ethical luxury.

“Osmology” is the scientific study of scent, and at Osmology by Aery, focus on the immersive power of fragrance to transform your mood. Their collection of candles, diffusers, and body care is thoughtfully crafted using sustainable materials and recyclable packaging to minimize our environmental footprint. By blending pure essential oils with fine fragrances, they bridge the gap between science and nature to create truly unique scent profiles.

Van Pelt at SHOPPE OBJECT New York Winter 2026

Co-founders Ashleigh Van Pelt and Cody Sai founded Van Pelt on the belief that communication and cultivation are the cornerstones of a successful business. Recognizing a gap in how agencies support both brands and retailers, they launched Van Pelt to revolutionize traditional distribution models. Today, the agency provides a curated selection of brands—including Zernell Gillie and Liis.

Catskills Candle Studio

Born from the shift between NYC’s fast-paced sophistication and the quiet allure of the mountains, Catskills Candle Studio is the creative vision of Nicole Andrick. Nicole leverages her background in fashion design to blend modern aesthetics with the earthy, fresh scents of the Catskills. Each candle is crafted with 100% natural soy wax from American-grown soybeans, prioritizing a clean, eco-friendly burn that honors the landscape that inspired it.

Founded in 2023 by Terry Kezoh and Jeanine Stanislaus, New York-based indie brand S.S.K. (LABS) seeks to democratize the prestige perfume industry through a mission rooted in education and intentional self-expression. By offering customizable, layerable scent kits—beginning with the warm, amber-centered Fragrance Kit 01—the brand empowers both novices and experts to treat fragrance as a personal wardrobe that adapts to fleeting emotions. Through their LAB-101 educational series and a commitment to demystifying scent construction, S.S.K. (LABS) invites users to experiment with complementary notes like earthy myrrh and creamy tonka to build a unique fragrance library that evolves with their everyday mood.

Olibanum

Launched in 2018 by Gérald Ghislain, Olibanum is a perfume line centered on the rare resin that shares its name—a material more precious than gold and at the very heart of fragrance history. The brand is built on three core pillars: Every creation pairs the signature olibanum essence with a single emblematic raw material to highlight its pure, fundamental dimension. The brand is dedicated to sustainability and minimizing its environmental footprint through mindful production. Under Ghislain’s vision, Olibanum actively supports developmental aid projects. Olibanum strips away complexity to offer accessible, authentic scents that return perfumery to its origins.

Ever wondered what the White House smells like? If you were visiting Jackie Kennedy, the answer was Rigaud. Today, it stands as the Southern Hemisphere’s leading fragrance brand.  Every scent is conceptualized in-house and crafted alongside the world’s elite perfumers to meet uncompromising standards. Committed to conscious luxury, all products are free from parabens, SLS, and animal byproducts, and are never tested on animals. New for Spring is A Collaboration That’s Tres Chic: Emily In Paris x Glasshouse Fragrances. TRUDON SHOPPE OBJECT New York Winter 2026

Tracing its evolution from the Royal Wax Manufacturer to the French monarchy, TRUDON continues to blend its storied heritage with modern artistry. Guided by their emblem’s motto, “Deo Regique Laborant” (The bees work for God and the King), the brand’s newest release, the Figuier Collection, serves as a luminous return to its historical roots. The collection is housed in striking celadon glass, a tribute to the iconic character Céladon from Honoré d’Urfé’s 17th-century masterpiece, L’Astrée. Crafted by perfumer Émilie Bouge, the fragrance captures the essence of the Versailles gardens. It opens with vibrant fig and hyacinth, transitioning into the scent of damp earth and raw woods—evoking the olfactory memory of a fig tree tucked away in the shadows of a royal greenhouse. The Figuier scent is available in four candle sizes, as well as diffusers and room sprays.

Blueme SHOPPE OBJECT New York Winter 2026

In 2022, fragrance pioneer Mei Xu launched Blueme, a collection of seven science-backed scents designed to bridge the gap between luxury and wellness. Fischersund at SHOPPE OBJECT New York Winter 2026 (featured in our We Love This Store series)

Fischersund is a family-run perfumery and art collective based in Reykjavik, Iceland. It is the creative expression of four siblings, Jónsi (of acclaimed post-rock band Sigur Rós and self-taught nose), Lilja, Sigurrós, and Inga Birgis. Their perfumes are handcrafted in their studio, utilizing the highest-quality oils. Each bottle is poured and packaged by hand. The fragrances are inspired by the clean, unique nature of Iceland, using herbs and oils harvested in the Icelandic wild via the most environmentally friendly solutions and materials for the modern lifestyle. Two years in the making, Faux Flora No. 1 (Birth), was just released. The 50ml EdP is based on their Faux Flora exhibition at the National Nordic Museum. The scent represents “germination” with notes like porcelain, mountain milk, and concrete. It’s housed in a new transparent sculptural bottle designed by Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir, inspired by the Icelandic landscape, combining its high-quality fragrance with collectible art. Each bottle includes a custom bandana.
