What’s the fruit that reads as sheer sensory pleasure to you? From the tactile fuzz to the blushed color, the softness of its round flesh that perfectly fits your palm, to the smell, the taste, the drip of juice and the sticky stems… In all its variations, the peach is a glorious, unabashed sensual experience.
There’s a reason peaches have been obsessively painted, poeticized, whispered (and emoji-ed), a for centuries. In Chinese mythology, they were the fruit of immortality, reserved for gods and emperors, true symbols of longevity, vitality, and abundance. In Renaissance art, they became stand-ins for something even more carnal – voluptuous, soft-skinned, blushing at the slightest touch, impossible to paint without invoking flesh. Either placed in still lifes, nestled into the hands, or overflowing from baskets of fruits, I often think of them as a wink hidden in plain sight, all velvet fuzz and intimate curves, daring you to look away. You couldn’t. You still can’t. The peach has always been a fruit charged with meaning. It’s tactile. It’s loaded. It drips. It stains your fingers, your lips, and your shirt if you’re not careful. It demands to be bitten into with a kind of reckless abandon. There’s no polite way to eat a peach – it’s messy, it’s sensory, it’s unapologetically sensual. Which is probably why it’s become the ultimate shorthand for desire itself, complete with its own universally understood emoji.

“My father was a chef and when I was growing up, one of my favorite desserts that my father would make on occasion was the infamous Bananas Foster. If you aren’t familiar with this dessert, I do highly suggest you familiarize yourself with it… it’s absolutely delicious. In a nutshell, you slice up a bunch of bananas and sauté them in brown sugar, cinnamon, and dark rum. (…) I wanted to recreate this in a perfume. HOWEVER, I wanted to up the ante and make it even more unique. Instead of bananas, my idea was to substitute the banana for peaches… a ‘Peaches Foster’, if you will. ‘Seductive Nectar’ is named such because it truly is the most seductive of nectars in a fragrance. The most sultry and seductive of vanillas, deep and rich, accentuated with the most juicy and ripe caramelized peach. Notes of cinnamon, brown sugar, and a dark spiced rum accord elevate this fragrance to the heights we knew it could be. The type of fine fragrance that draws you in, and will elevate your evenings to new heights. OWN the night with this one…” – Chris Martin, founder and owner of Statik Olfactive
To make the vision happen, Chris Martin teamed up with perfumer Lucky Armstrong for a good grown-up gourmand with a bad attitude. When I first inhaled it, my brain went straight to three words: “life is peachy”-and if you remember the late ’90s, you might catch the reference (thank you, Korn, for that album forever imprinted on all the young, impressionable brains back then). This peach is ripe but raw in attitude – a bit bitey, uncompromising, the kind that refuses to be polite or play by the rules. Which is why I’d subtitle the name of Seductive Nectar with a subheadline, written in italics: boozy explosive peach with a take-no-prisoners attitude.

“I don’t create fragrances to be soft, I create them to be unforgettable and ‘Seductive Nectar’ is exactly that.” – Lucky Armstrong, perfumer.

From the first spray, it’s pretty clear: this one is not for the timid. Your senses are hit with caramelized peach in full glory, flanked by apricot’s honeyed sweetness. No room for blushes, paleness, and delicate fuzzy business – this is full-on hardcore fruit at its peak ripeness, edges darkened by heat and sugar, still warm from the flambé in the pan. As the fragrance settles into its heart, jasmine weaves through like a seductive silk ribbon, tying the sweetness tightly with its creamy, indolic facet, adding floral depth that keeps this from being just a gourmand flex. Soon, rum enters the scene, bringing that boozy warmth that conjures velvet darkness and hot flames, the cinnamon adding the right spicy extra heat to create more tension.
The base is where things really get serious. Vanilla absolute anchors the base in its darkest, most resinous form: think thick molasses and aged, expensive rum. Tonka bean weaves through with its signature smoky touch, sandalwood adds a creamy, woody backbone, and benzoin its warm, balsamic embrace. The result is textured, sensorial – think running your fingers over an expensive, exotic leather armchair, while sipping on an aged rum. While lighting a fuse.

Clearly, this is not a fragrance for those who want a timid seduction game. It’s bold, unapologetic, projects like crazy, everlasting on skin, and eternal on fabrics – a gourmand with hardcore peachy riffs and a boozy backbone. All dressed in black, smooth leather, this peach is flambéed in dark rum, caramelized and smoky, trailing dark vanilla and fiery decisions. To wear it when you want to crank up your confidence to a whole new level.
